Shore Temple. The oldest structure in the area, build c. 700 AD, this temple has been here for more than 1400 years. A Shiva lingam is enshrined in the central building and the site can get very crowded on weekends.

Tips for hill station travelers
If you planing for hill station here are some tips
- If your are traveling by car be sure you are in the direction of the vehicle if you are on the opposite side chances are 90% you will get dizziness and vomit
- Keep AVOMINE* a vomit control medicine in case of emergency (AVOMINE is an active, well tolerated, anti-emetic for use in the prevention and treatment of travel sickness.)
- Don't take too much oily food before the hill journey
- Keep the water full in the car
- If you travel by train you will enjoy the ride be sure to get the tickets in advance
